A series of photos taken of a Morning Rainbow that lasted approximately 1 1/2 hours on August 22nd, 2009. The pictures are taken from 6:58 AM until 8:19 AM. The time progression shows the rainbow move closer to the horizon over time. The rainbow moves lower in inverse proportion to the Sun rising in the East. Other rainbow features that can be seen in this series are Rainbow Spokes, Secondary Rainbows, Alexander's Dark Band, and Supernumerary Rainbows. See if you can find them! |
